Symptoms of tendinitis vary, depending on the severity of the condition and where in the body it manifests itself, but it’s generally very painful.

Tendinitis can also be accompanied by swelling, tenderness and a crackling sound known as “crepitus.” If left untreated, severe tendinitis can lead to the rupture of the tendon, at which point surgery is the only treatment option.
